Penang Trip

Just got back from Penang on Sunday and overall the trip was good, but hubby & I were extremely tired.

Although I have prepared the checklist prior to my trip, but yet I can forget about the stroller :P, so throughout our trip, we have to carry Kaith but luckily my sister has helped me taking care of Kaith as well.

Dillon obviously enjoyed very much, he was super active as usual (not something new right? :P) and was running around exploring places, so hubby & I have to keep our eyes on him all the time.

Now that I know, traveling with 2 young kids is definitely a challenge......

Packing the kids luggage

We'll be traveling to Penang by road on this coming weekend to attend a wedding function, and also visiting the island.

This would also be my 1st time traveling with both kids and I'm a bit excited. I have already prepared a checklist so that I won't miss out anything when packing the kids luggage. For Dillon it is much easier as he no longer takes milk and is diaper-free during day time. Anyway, these are the thing I've listed down:

- Sufficient outfits & diapers for 3 days 2 nights
- Shoes, socks & hats
- Baby wipes & diaper changing mat
- Baby bath & lotion
- Inflatable travel bathtub (for Kaith)
- Potty seat (for Dillon)
- Towels, handkerchiefs & bibs
- Milk powder, milk bottles, thermos flask, water bottle, cereals, feeding bowl & spoon (for Kaith)
- Water tumbler (for Dillon)
- Snacks, some small toys & books
- Sunscreen lotion
- Swim wear, swim ring, beach ball & beach toy play sets
- Antiseptic cream for mosquito bites & nappy cream (in case)
- The light weight umbrella stroller

Did I miss out anything essential?

Mother's Day dinner

It's a big family gathering tonight with my sister & husband and their 3 kids (Kah Hoe, Kah Lok & Wai Ying), my brother & wife and their kid (Zheng Yang), myself & hubby plus Dillon & Kaith and of course the "main character" of the day, our dear mummy. Well to be exact, there are 4 mummies at the dinner table. :)

Me, my mum, elder sister & brother, we don't resemble each other eh? My sister look alike my dad, while my brother look alike my mum, as for me, I don't know who I resemble....??

I'm very grateful that I can still celebrate this meaningful day with my mum, who gave birth to me at age 42 and is now 71 years old. I nearly lost her 2 years ago when she was attacked by stroke. I pray for good health & happiness to my mum for many many more years to come.....

"Dear Mum, Happy Mother's Day to you and I love you". I also hope that Dillon & Kaith will love me as much as I love my mum now.

Happy Mother's Day to my MIL, sister - Angie, sister-in-law - Veronica & Airine, and all the blogger mums out there.

It's surely a happy dinner to my mum with all her children & grandchildren (Kaith isn't in this picture as she was sleeping)

Let's go to the Zoo!!

Brought Dillon and Kaith to Zoo Negara on Sunday around 10.30am. We only spent about 1.5 hour there because Dillon & Kaith have fell asleep so we decided to leave home then. The weather was really hot and we all sweat like crazy!!

Dillon and Kaith were not even smiling when we took the photos....

Dillon gorgor was helping to push the stroller

Argh.... Kaith was yawning badly..... :O

Outdoor photo shooting

This is another backdated post

Met up with Jasmine the weekend before Chinese New Year for outdoor photo shooting.

Date: 3rd Feb 2008 (Sunday)
Time: 10am - 12pm
Venue: Bandar Tun Razak Lake Garden

It was raining when we meet up at 9am and then we hang out at McDonald's for breaskfast while waiting for the rain to stop. Although rain has stopped around 10am, but the sky was still cloudy when we reach the park so the pictures didn't turn out as nice as it could be. But anyway, I'm happy to meet with Jasmine and appreciate her effort in taking the nice shots for us.

New Toy

This is a backdated post

Right before Chinese New Year, hubby said that he needs a better camera to capture nice shots of the kids & he thought to invest in a DSLR camera, while keeping our Canon Ixus as secondary camera.

After doing some research in the market, hubby finally bought a Sony A200 DSLR at a very competitive price. Lately he's been playing with his new toy trying to figure out the settings & etc. Dillon & Kaith has become his best model for practising his skills. :)

Here are his very first shots of the kids:

I assume there will be more great pictures coming up later......:)

Gathering at The Mines

This photo was edited coz myself & another family left before the group photo session. :) Both Daddy & Mummy Yiau are in pink like Kaith, only Dillon is in White, hehe.

Date: 17th November 2007 (Saturday)
Time: 5.30pm onwards
Venue: Station Kopitiam, Mines Shopping Centre

On the same day in the evening, there is another special gathering. The mummies have known each other on Multiply blog or forum but this is 1st time we actually meet each other and the kids in person. I went with hubby, Dillon & Kaith, we only stayed for about an hour plus as we have another occasion to attend, so I didn't really chat a lot with the mummies. Nevertheless, the gathering is short but sweet. :) See how happy Kaith is when sitting in the bumbo seat. hahaha :D

Pool fun time!

We used to have a kids pool that was passed down from my brother & Dillon had so much fun playing in that pool but too bad it was bitten by rats and we couldn’t patch it back as the hole was too big.

On last Sunday, we finally bought a “new pool” at Tesco and this time, I bought one of 6 feet (in diameter) because it’s meant for 2 kids so I reckon that it is better to have a bigger pool (I could even go into the pool with the kids as well, hehe)

When hubby was filling the pool with water, Dillon was already too excited and can’t wait to jump into the pool.

Even baby Kaith was joining her brother for some fun in the pool. (she was wearing Dillon’s swim diapers, it fits perfectly on her now)

We really had so much fun on that afternoon and I’m sure Dillon and Kaith will be looking forward to the next “pool fun time”. (Hubby may be otherwise as he is the one who has to inflate the pool, fill the pool, later on empty the pool and deflate the pool, :P)

Kids vs. Husband

After kids came into our life, have we really neglected our husband in one way or another? No doubt the kids are very very important persons in our life but so as our husband, he is not merely a partner but also our soul mate. As much as the kids needed their mummy, husbands need their wife too.

If you haven't kiss your hubby today, go hug him close and give him a kiss. :) Happy marriage to everyone who is reading this.

Cousin's Wedding (Dinner)

This is a backdated post.

Hubby's cousin, Ian had his wedding reception at Sunway Hotel Ballroom on last Saturday night (20th Oct). This is the 1st time we are bringing both Dillon & Kaith to a formal wedding dinner and I dressed them up nicely.

I was also the master of ceremony for the night, along with another cousin Jane. To be honest I was a little nervous but I'm happy when people told me that my performance was good. Here are some pictures to share.

Lanterns night

Although Mooncake Festival is still a week away but Dillon has already played with his lantern & candles on last Saturday night. Hubby was lighting up the candles & small lanterns in our car porch while Dillon busy walking around with his lil' lantern. I was carrying Kaith & she seem so fascinated by the candle light.Hubby & I both have the feeling like we were back to our childhood time & we started talking & laughing about the mischievous things we did back then.... All of us had a real great family time on that night.

Well, I guess the feeling of contentment in life is just this simple. :)

12 pcs of small lanterns - RM3

Genting Trip

Hubby & I felt that we have spent less time with Dillon after Kaith was born and thus we have decided to bring him to Genting Highland for 2 days 1 night. We reached there around 2pm on Wednesday & we left on the next day around 12noon.

Left:Dillon & cousin Ying Ying; Right: Lunch @ Burger King

Play time!! Ferris Wheel & Carousel with mummy & cousins

Left: Hmmm.. Fingers-lickin' good caramel popcorn; Right: Let me see what to have for dinner

Training starts from young! Vroom vroom.......

It's a very tiring trip for hubby & I as Dillon was so active & mobile & we always have to either carry him or chase after him, but for sure that Dillon has had fun & enjoyed himself. :)
