Kaith on magazines

In last month, I have sent in Kaith's photos to MomBaby & Mommy Baby ( 妈妈宝宝 & 妈咪宝贝 ) magazine for "July Babies" section and to my surprise, her photos were featured in both magazines. This is the first time I'm sending her photos to any magazine and I'm happy that they were both selected, this is a great gift for Kaith and I will keep the magazines to show her when she grows up. :)

Finally walking..... :)

Last Saturday, Kaith finally took her first step and has been practising a lot since then. Every time she walks, you can see happiness all over her face and she enjoys walking very much, well I guess not long from now, she'll be running around like Dillon.....

Not forgetting to suck her favourite fingers while touching her belly button as she walks... lol

Kaith & the rocking horse

See how Kaith got herself riding on the rocking horse, I think she is real daring....

She also enjoys riding the rocking horse with her brother Dillon, well that's my purpose buying this 2-seater rocking horse made of Rattan, big & sturdy enough for 2 kids to ride on at one time. :)

Kaith is One

Kaith is turning one this Thursday (3rd July) and we had dinner on last Saturday in a Chinese Restaurant to celebrate in advance. It's only a simple dinner with our family members and close relatives, about 20 of us.

Kaith fell asleep during the dinner and I have to wake her up for cake cutting, and she didn't see too happy when taking photos and lastly, Dillon has "volunteered" himself to blow the candle and cut the cake... lol

It's just like yesterday that I gave birth to Kaith, she was only 2.88kg, so tiny and so fragile...... and now she is entering toddler hood already.

Happy Birthday Kaith, my sweetheart, I wish you grow up healthily and happily, I love you. :)

Kaith at 10.5 months

I almost don't believe it, Kaith is already 10.5 months now and in less than 2 months time, she will be entering toddler hood.

Kaith weighs a healthy 8.7kg, and she has grow taller and look less chubby now, however her thighs still look "fleshy" though, hahaha LOL. Her hair has also grown a lot more and hence look more girlish (agree?). And she still likes sucking her 2 favourite fingers...... :P

She can't walk yet, but can stand alone very firm and is often cruising around the house. Her favourite game is Peekaboo and Dillon gor gor will always play with her; it's one of my greatest joy when seeing them both playing & laughing happily.

She is fully on formula milk Enfapro A+ now since I quit breastfeeding few weeks back. She will have milk in the morning, mashed food/cereal for lunch, milk again in late afternoon, porridge for dinner and last milk before bedtime. She has totally weaned off mid night feed 2 days after I quit breastfeeding, without much fuss, I guess maybe she "know" that she is no longer getting me to breastfeed her so she also "decided" to quit mid night feed? haha, anyway it's good to me also that she sleeps through the night now. :)

How to quit?

As mentioned in my previous post, I have decided to discontinue breastfeeding Kaith and wanted to wean her off the midnight feed, up till today I’m not able to “achieve” it yet. Kaith still wakes up around 3am for milk, even I tried to cradle her back to sleep without giving her milk but I failed, and she doesn’t want pacifier as well.

Last 2 days, I’ve asked my maid to room in with Kaith while Dillon sleeps with me, hoping that maybe Kaith won’t wake up for milk if it wasn’t me sleeping next to her.... too bad it’s the same, worst still my maid needs to wake up & make milk for her while I need to wake up to express milk, which is more hassle and more tiring for both of us.

So now everything is back to usual where Kaith is sleeping with me and I’m still breastfeeding her midnight.

Any tips on how to put a stop to this?

It's time....

I have decided to discontinue my breastfeeding journey.

In fact I've initially planned to stop after Chinese New Year but I'm yet to wean her off mid night feed so I still keep it up till now.

Kaith will be turning 8 months by next Monday & she has already started on solid food. Although I wish to be able to breastfeed longer, but as a full time working mum, it's really not easy to keep it up due to work commitment, plus there is a demanding boy at his terrible 2s at home. :)

Anyway, I'm happy & proud that I've achieved my "target" (to breastfeed at least 6 months), so it's time to nicely put a full stop to my breastfeeding journey now without any regret .... :)

I have truly enjoyed both of my breastfeeding journey and I think they are one of the most beautiful moments in my life, and the greatest gift I had given to my kids.

Ladybird

Have you ever seen such a chubby ladybird? :)

This cute outfit was a gift from mummy Judy. Good pick Judy, hehe :)

It's been half a year....

It's been a while since I last blog about Kaith's progress and now she has turned 6 months old already in just a blink!

Kaith is still on breast milk, and Enfalac A+ formula milk occasionally (when mummy didn't pump/feed as frequent :P). She is taking 6oz each feed and she is also eating brown rice cereal 3-4 times a week. Since she is doing quite well with the milk, I only plan to start her on other solid food when she turned 7-8 months, same like what I did to Dillon. She now weighs a healthy 7.8kg and she looks chubby. :)

She is yet to sit up straight on her own without support but I don't see her "practising" that a lot; instead she is more keen on attempting to crawl! Nowadays she is always on all fours and enjoys to rock her body back & forth. :)

Another act she likes to do is playing with her feet......

.....and sucking on her toes, yummy..... haha :P

Dillon skipped crawling and went straight to pull himself in standing position and start walking, I wonder if Kaith is going to skip sitting and go straight into crawling?

The Chritmas babe

This is a backdated post.

Hubby & I brought Kaith to the Pavilion shopping mall on the 9th Dec, wanted her to see the christmas decor and take some nice shots of her in her "christmas outfit". :)

I noticed that Kaith just can't get her fingers off her mouth...too yummy?? :P

Eczema

Ever since Kaith was 2 months plus, she has dry & scaly skin on her cheek and forehead. I thought it's just normal heat rashes and would go away by itself as she grows. Until the recent week, her skin condition still didn't improve and her face become very rough. She would also scratch her cheeks and head often and it made her couldn't sleep well at night.

Then I decided to bring her to the paediatrician and he said that Kaith was having Eczema but it's just very mild and he gave me a bottle of Eucerin lotion to apply on her whole body including face & head, and another cream for stopping the itchiness.

Just 2 days after applying the lotion, Kaith has regain her smooth skin on the face and now she looks much prettier. :)

Kaith in walker

Kaith doesn’t like to lie down but she likes to be held in standing or sitting positions. Thus I have tried putting her in the walker last week and found that she just love it! She was so happy and whenever we press the honk, she would just laugh out loud, hahaha LOL.

See the series of pictures with her happy face and smiles.

4 months

Chef Kaith:"I don't know what to cook tonight."

Announcement!!

Baby Kaith is 4 months old already. :)

She is now taking 5oz of milk every 4 hours and weigh a healthy 6.5kg. Her face is round & chubby, still doesn't have double eyelid like her brother but she is getting fairer now.

She can roll over already and she has a pair of strong legs, she likes it so much when we hold her at standing position. She is also very chatty (girl's nature I believe?) and she smiles & laugh a lot, especially Dillon plays with her. :)

Updates on Mummy? Still breastfeeding and trying hard to fit into her old pair of jeans.... haha

Kaith is 3 months old already!

Hello everybody, I'm baby Kaith.

Kaith has just turned 3 months old yesterday and we brought her for her routine check up & jab today.

So here is a bit of her latest updates:

1. Has put on another 0.6kg since last month, weighs a healthy 6.1kg now, body length 60cm.
2. Still on breast milk exclusively, taking 4.5oz (no "improvement" on this though) every 3 hours.
3. Has been attempting to roll over but not successful as yet.
4. Hate to be alone. Will cry out loud whenever no one is within her sight. :-(
5. Loves to smile & laughing out loud (just like me!!) LOL

Kaith's new hair cut :)

Hubby said Kaith look like "uncle" in her current hairstyle because her hair didn't grow evenly; the hair is more on both side & the back of the head whereas the center of the head has less hair. Haha LOL.

Therefore on last Saturday, we decided to bring her for her very first hair cut (we didn't shave her on her fullmoon).
Before

After

Hopefully she will have a head full of smooth & silky hair soon :)

Kaith's progress

Kaith doesn't really suck on her thumbs or fingers, more often she likes to suck on her forearm. LOL.

I also noticed that she has been attempting to roll over. Good try! :)

2 months old

Kaith has turned 2 months old today and I'm gonna give her a big kiss on her chubby cheeks!! :)

Since I'm at work now, I'll only be able to see her tonight, most probably around 8pm which means another 5.5 hours from now. Oh gosh I miss her so much, and of course I miss Dillon too......

Smile...... :)

Many said that Kaith has a boyish look, maybe because of her hair line. :)

Like mother like daughter

When I was doing some shopping at Mid Valley last week, I spotted this cute baby girl dress at Pigeon counter. To my surprise, the print of this dress is the same as one of my spaghetti top that I've bought half a year ago at Isetan!!

Therefore without thinking twice, I have bought the dress for Kaith. It is still too big for her now and I just can't wait for the day when we can both wear these clothes together, wouldn't that be fun? LOL

Kaith's latest pictures

Brought baby Kaith for check up last Thursday and she now weighs 4.6kg, length 54cm. As days pass by, she looks more & more alike her brother Dillon.
