I have decided to discontinue my breastfeeding journey.
In fact I've initially planned to stop after Chinese New Year but I'm yet to wean her off mid night feed so I still keep it up till now.
Kaith will be turning 8 months by next Monday & she has already started on solid food. Although I wish to be able to breastfeed longer, but as a full time working mum, it's really not easy to keep it up due to work commitment, plus there is a demanding boy at his terrible 2s at home. :)
Anyway, I'm happy & proud that I've achieved my "target" (to breastfeed at least 6 months), so it's time to nicely put a full stop to my breastfeeding journey now without any regret .... :)
I have truly enjoyed both of my breastfeeding journey and I think they are one of the most beautiful moments in my life, and the greatest gift I had given to my kids.

it is a great achievement...
you can still breastfeed at night and stop the daytime..so that you don't have to pump anymore in the office...
Well done and give yourself a pat...
great achievements.....well done
yeah....congrats to you on your achievement, Karen, But if u can bf just at home, it would be good enuf. i did that until qiqi was one :)
Hi Chanel & Chinnee, I did thought of keep brastfeeding only at home/night, just don't pump at work. But the last time I tried with Dillon, I can't because still engorge and need to pump at least once at work. The supply didn't decrease much & at last I have to take pills to stop the milk supply totally.
I shall try again with Kaith & see how. :)
Thanks jazz.... :)
It is great able to continue for such a long way. Good job.
well done! :-) that's very dedicated of you.. hats off to you :-)
well that's good...some breastfeeding is better than none at all i suppose? with aidan, I only BFed him for 1 month. Ya. Guilty! that is why aidan is always sick these days. Poor boy!
Well done Karen! I recently stop breastfeeding myself, after 6 mths. But the engorgement is horrible. Glad that it is over now.
