Confinement plan changed

As I've mentioned in my previous post about DIY confinement plan & that I've placed order with Peiling, now there is a slight change in the plan, yeah it's very last minute change.

Frankly speaking, I've heard some not so good comment about the confinement food catering at Peiling lately & thus I've decided to switch to another caterer, SN-Nanny in Sri Petaling.

Since I've paid RM200 non-refundable deposit to Peiling, I've used the budget to exchange for some necessary goods like sesame oil, sesame cereal drink, ginger wines, for myself & my friends who want the goods as well.

I've placed the order with SN Nanny for their Flexi package, which includes 1 meat, 1 vege, 1 soup, 1 brown rice & 1 red dates drink at RM1200 for 30 days. On top of that I need to pay her additional RM300 for delivery as I wasn't taking the full package (2 meats, 2 vege, 2 brown rice, 1 soup & red dates drink, incl delivery for 30 days at RM2200). I didn't want to take the full package, as I still want some flexibility in my menu, where I (or my maid) can still prepare some extra dishes that I feel like eating at times.

SN Nanny also provide the double boiled chicken essence at RM15 per serving & I am planning to take on that too later (3rd week of confinement onwards), because I think the price is quite reasonable & it'll save me time to prepare & I could have more time to rest & bonding with my baby & Dillon.

Anyway, everything is ironed out finally......

39th week check up

By this Saturday, I'll be 39 weeks pregnant.

I got a few sms yesterday, checking if I've already popped because they didn't see my posting in my blogs & I wasn't online, thanks for all your kind concern. :) Actually I have gone for check up at HUKM yesterday.

Well, I'm not quite there yet, as baby's head still hasn't engage. My weight is now 67kg (put on a total of 15kg since preggy), baby weighs about 3.1kg, which is very close to Dillon who was born at 3.19kg. Though you might not think I'm fat, but doctor has advised me better not to put on anymore weight, for an easier labour. (Well, I'll still go & eat all my favourite food before I pop, LOL).

Everything is still fine with me, no swelling, cramping or even Braxton Hicks. I even went shopping at Mid Valley myself for a couple of hours yesterday, hehe ;)

I'll be going back for follow up check on next Wednesday, 4th July, if I still haven't popped by then.

Anyone watched?

I wonder if anyone watch the show "The Miracle Of Life in the Womb – Twins, Triplets & Quads" on National Geographic Channel last night at 9pm? I have talked about it previously & I hope most of you have enjoyed the show.

I very much wanted to watch but I don't have Astro at home. Luckily I have asked my colleague to record it for me and I'm gonna watch it later tonight.

I'll share my views after watching & please feel free to drop your comments too.

I'm so pissed

I'm 38 weeks pregnant as of today, but why am I so pissed?

My maid is off today, which means I have to take care of Dillon one full day. This is not a challenge at all, if I'm not so heavily preggy now. But thinking that my maid would not have any rest days in the coming 2 months after baby is born, I just let her go. - well, I'm not pissed by this incident.

After I feed & bath Dillon in the morning around 10am, I am surprise to see hubby has got up (normally he will only get up after 1pm) & ask me to go for breakfast. So I ask him why is he up so early and apparently he has got plan - his own plan with his friends.

Me: "Where are you going?"
Hubby: "I'm going to watch GT championship event." (happily....)
Me: "What? You mean Sepang Circuit?"
Hubby: " Ya right, my friend got some free Grand Stand tickets & ask me to go with him."
Me: " Why can't you reject him?"
Hubby: " Why should I? I'm free today." (giving me a strange look)
Me: "Don't you know maid is off today & left only me & Dillon at home? Don't you know I'm close to my EDD and you are going to Sepang? Maybe I should drive myself & Dillon to hospital if there is an emergency?"
Hubby: " Why are you being so sarcastic? I didn't plan for this, it's a surprise for me, & I don't think it's so coincident that you will deliver today"
Me: "................" (I'm speechless & really hopeless to talk further with him)

So tell me, should I be pissed?

I'm addicted

Well I know I should be taking a lot of rest now, since I'll due soon and need to take care of baby afterwards.

But what I've been actually doing was, spending at least an hour to two at night to play PC games. Normally Dillon will sleep around 10.30pm - 11.00pm so my game session will starts from 11pm - 12pm or sometimes 1am. This game addiction started since last 2 weeks when I was browsing the Yahoo! games site & downloaded a trial game to play on. After that I got addicted & found more cracked games & continue to play with; while munching on potato chips & cheezels.....

Now I wonder why is my butt getting heavier & seems like have been set on auto expansion mode lately....... :P

37th week updates

Current weight in 37th week is 66kg (+1.0kg since 34th week) and baby weighs 2.6kg (+0.3kg since 34th week also), both baby & mummy is fine. Doctor said the baby has turned but the head not yet engaged, so most probably I will not be giving birth anytime soon. This would be good as I still have a couple of occassions to attend within the next couple of weeks; also plan to watch the Transformers which will be in cinema this month end.......haha :D

Since 2 weeks ago, I've started taking coconut drink once to twice a week as many said it helps to cool down the body. Appetite is good but can't eat too much at one go. Baby's movement is a lot more aggressive, esp at night. Luckily I don't have leg cramp & swollen feet problem. I can still sleep pretty well, except that it takes me a lot of effort whenever I want to turn & change my sleeping position.

Need not mention that I'm getting more & more lazy and how I wish I could just stay at home. But the fact is, I still have lots of thing to settle & hand over to my colleague before I go on maternity leave.

My next appointment at HUKM will be on 27th June, in my 38th week.

This is the recent me, 18 days counting down.... :>

Children See, Children Do

Maybe some of you have already seen this, but I just got this clip forwarded from my friend and I thought it has good meaning behind.

Just to share the video here with everyone, esp parents. :)

Children See, Children Do

It is absolutely true when people says you know how the parents are like by looking at their kids.

Memory KO

When I was in the bed last night, I told myself that I have to bring along my charger to office tomorrow, as I've fogotten to charge my phone before I went to bed & was too lazy to get up after I've lied down.

Before I left my room this morning, I did remember to bring the charger and I feel like 'hey, my memory is still not too bad, at least I did not forget it this time' (haha, feeling proud for a few seconds)

As soon as I reached office, I took out the charger & wanted to charge my phone, only then I realised that I've left it at home........

So I have the charger today, but not the phone. :-<

Pathetic....

I was at HUKM this morning to do the MGTT test and a small incident happened when I went to the toilet. I saw this old lady (A) in the cubicle for disabled people & another old lady with a tongkat (B) was waiting to use the cubicle (door was opened).

They were both talking while I was waiting in line at other cubicles:

B: Can you come out on your own?
A: I've been trying to get up & wear my pants.
B: What is wrong with you?
A: I lost one of my legs so it's bit hard for me.
B: IC.... that is really inconvenient for you, maybe I can help?

Then this old lady wanted to go into the cubicle to help but she also has difficulties to walk and eventually dropped her tongkat as well.

There are several people who saw this scene but none is helping so without thinking for long, I decided to lend my hands, it's not easy as the old lady is quite big size & with my big tummy, I can barely squeeze into the cubicle. Anyway, I manage to help this poor lady to pull up her pants, help her to sit back in the wheel chair & then push her out; when I reached the toilet exit, no one is helping to open & hold the door either, they are just looking at a pregnant woman holding the door with one hand & pushing the wheel chair with another.......... The old lady's son was waiting right outside the toilet to fetch her & he thank me for helping.

I don't know what was wrong with the other people in the toilet at the time, they are all young ladies & none is pregnant. They noticed there is someone needed help, but they choose to be onlooker. Imagine the scenario where a pregnant woman & an old lady are trying to help a disabled old lady, while the rest just watching, how pathetic hor?

My recent funnies

Following the non-paying lunch incident happened last 2 weeks, here is something happened to me recently:-

1. Left or Right?
Took the car to petrol station, stop at driver's side & then doubt that the oil pump is actually on the passenger's side; made a U-turn to the pump on the other side, look out at the side mirror & changed my mind again, drove back to the initial pump and got down the car, only to realize that I was wrong (it is at passenger's side indeed). Luckily the attendant managed to pull the hose over to fill the petrol for me, otherwise I would have to make another U-turn again.......
(But I knew that he tried very hard to not laugh in front of me)

2. Weird dreams
Had a dream that I delivered my baby fast, easy & painless (hope this part will come true, hehe) and I brought the baby home. Then when I changed the diaper, I saw the lil' penis!! I was so shocked & started to curse the doctor for telling me the wrong thing......
(Actually even this is true, I won't overreact as it's still my baby)

Dreamt that when I went to toilet at home, my water bag broke and I delivered my baby in the toilet, it was so real that I even hold the baby in my hands, and the baby started crying..... But I didn't check on the gender, was too terrified at that point in time.....
(This gotta be a dream only, I have no guts for home birth......)

36th week - I'm ready

Finally, I have completed 2 tasks on my to-do list over last weekend, i.e. to wash all baby clothes & fold it nicely in the drawers (actually washing was done by my maid, hehe) and to pack my hospital bag.

When I was packing my bag, hubby said that I look so happy as if I'm packing my luggage for a long waited trip, hahaha, yeah it indeed is a "trip" which I have been booked into more than 250 days ago........and yes I'm excited about it, still.

So, I'm all ready now for the "trip", just waiting for the "call"..... :D

Thank you

Thanks to all who wished me on my birthday and indeed I had enjoyed the day.

I took half day on last Thursday and had lunch with my colleagues in Damansara Uptown. After that I continued to wander around to wait for my hubby while they drove back to office.

Then I found this new baby boutique - BabyJaya, it's located along the same row as Anakku & RHB Bank in uptown; a 3-storey shop house selling baby gears & toys, baby clothing, bedding & accessories, maternity & nursing range etc, all under one roof.

I tried telling myself that I'm just window shopping & there is nothing that I needed to buy but......I end up spent about RM100 for a Soft Potty Seat & 2 VCDs for Dillon, socks for baby & a Nursery sling bag for myself :)

Dinner with hubby at Rakuzen Japanese Restaurant in Hartamas Shopping Center around 8pm and I had the Sashimi & Tempura set, yeah I knew I shouldn't have raw fish at this time but it's just too hard to resist so I had a few slices......

I can say that I had a wonderful birthday as I have got & done what I want:- off day, shopping, japanese food, birthday cards & wishes from many people via sms, emails, IMs & from this blog of course. So I guess I shouldn't mind too much that my hubby didn't actually wish me happy birthday, hmmm...... is it really so hard to open the mouth & say it?

A year older today.....

"Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me..... happy birthday to me."

Guess who was the 1st person to wish me this morning? no no not my hubby (very bad guess), it was my lovely bunch of office team mate, and they said it so loud some more, haha so paiseh, some greeted me over google chat as well ^_^ I hope that by next year this time, Dillon would be the 1st person to wish me & sing me the birthday song. :)

My birthday wishes this year:
1. Have a safe & smooth labour & a healthy baby.
2. Lots of Happiness, Love, Health & Wealth in my family.

Ok that's all, I'm not a greedy person.......hahahaha LOL

Yiau Senior & Junior

Most people said Dillon looks more like my hubby and I won't disagree with it. The only part that he resembles me is the chin, otherwise he is a photocopy of my hubby.

I snap a shot of Senior's childhood photo and compare it alongside Junior's, now you'll know what I mean by photocopy. LOL :)

On the left is Senior & the right is Junior

P/S: Someone asked me today if I wish my baby girl to look like Dillon or my hubby, my answer was : "got difference meh?" :P

My first Ferrari

Hello all, I'm one and a half years old today, big boy already.... and I'll be a kor kor very soon.

Look what my baba has bought me last night - a Ferrari F430!! Vroom....Vroom..... anybody want a ride? LOL :)

Butt getting heavier... :P

Well I'm already in 35th week now and I can feel myself getting heavier & lazier. It seems so difficult for me to move my butt off my office chair nowadays, even to get water to drink from the pantry.

So basically what I did on Saturday & Sunday was eat & sleep only (my privilege now! hehe). Except that I need to bath, cook & feed Dillon as maid was off on Sunday.

I have actually promised to attend a friend's house warming party on Saturday at 8.00pm and i was still lying on the bed at 7.30pm, really feel so lazy to get up and in the end, I have to "fong fei kei" (didn't turn up for the party), hope my friend won't mind la. Hubby had initially planned to go for movie Shrek 3 but due to my laziness, we didn't make it as well.

Until today, I'm yet to pack my hospital bag & take out the baby clothes & pass to my maid to wash, will put it in my to do list & hopefully get it done before next weekend la..... :)
