Cousin's Wedding (Dinner)

This is a backdated post.

Hubby's cousin, Ian had his wedding reception at Sunway Hotel Ballroom on last Saturday night (20th Oct). This is the 1st time we are bringing both Dillon & Kaith to a formal wedding dinner and I dressed them up nicely.

I was also the master of ceremony for the night, along with another cousin Jane. To be honest I was a little nervous but I'm happy when people told me that my performance was good. Here are some pictures to share.

Cash Advance for emergency uses

All of us should have some savings for emergency uses; however, not everyone is able to do that due to the great amount of expenses they have like car loan, housing loan, credit card payment and other liabilities. To borrow money from family, friends or relatives also might not be a good option as we will burden other people as well; this is where payday loans are able to help by providing the cash advance.

Payday loans are short term loan specially cater to those who needs emergency cash in hand. Payday loans are applied via internet where the process can be done securely and the loan process is usually completed faster. Once approved, the money will be sent direct to applicant’s account safely.

As long one is being employed for at least 3 consecutive months with minimum monthly income of $1,000 and have a valid checking account for at least 3 months, then he would have met the basic loan approval criteria. The loan term on payday loans typically ranges from 4 to 30 days, coinciding with the applicant’s next payday but it can also be extended, where subsequent fees will be charged accordingly then.

In case any of you are seeking for cash advance, payday loans would be able to provide a feasible solution.

Chock-A-Blog!

I just got the November issue of Mother & Baby today after being informed by Chinnee.

My blog, Mummy Yiau, Dillon & Kaith (http://kazyiau.blogspot.com) was spotted by the editor of Mother & Baby Magazine - Joy Entry back in Sept. She visited my blog & left a comment saying that she would like to interview me via the phone and I agreed to it. That is how we got hooked up and how my blog got "free publicity" in this parenting magazine. :)

I have also referred my friend Judy for the interview, and mentioned that Mummy Lian, Mummy Chinnee & Mummy Jazz are some of the great Mummy's Blogs I like to visit (there are a lot more in fact!!) Dear Chinnee, Jazz & Lian, sorry that I didn't get your permission before giving out your blog address, but you won't mind right? :)

P/S: I've scanned and shared the full 3 pages of article in my Multiply Album - Lil' Angels Gallery, feel free to drop by & read this interesting article.

Starting up an online store

Now that I have 2 kids, sometimes I do think of quiting my job and find a home-based job, or start up an online store to sell adult and children clothing and accessories because online shopping has become more and more popular nowadays.

Although I barely have the idea on how to operate and maintain an online store but with the help of ecommerce software hosted by Ashop commerce, I’m sure things will become more manageable. The software is comprehensive and yet it’s user friendly, it is easy to set up and I can also choose the layout and design that I like for my shop. From inventory to payment options, customer database to sales analysis, this ecommerce software has so many other features that make setting up an online store as easy as A,B,C.

Moreover, it is offering a 10 days free trial now so we could try out the ecommerce software first and justify if it is suitable to our requirement.

My breastfeeding journey - Part 3

Ever since the 8th day Kaith was born, I've been breastfeeding her exclusively and today is the 112th day in my breastfeeding journey.

It's been about 1.5 months after I returned to work. Everyday I would carry along my cooler bag with all the accessories to office and I normally need to pump twice a day at work. I consider myself a lonely ranger because no one else is doing or had done so in this office.

I would say with my past experience, it's so much easier for me to breastfeed this time. Though at times I do feel tired & tied up but I never thought of giving up. I know this is the best I could give to my baby (& the best way for me to lose weight too, hehehe). I'm planning to keep this up until Kaith turns 8 months, or even longer.... - to be continued

P/S: The good thing is, I've lost another 1 kg this month :)

My Lil' Pirate

Dillon always like to share things with Kaith, but in a slightly different way. He will take out the pacifier that Kaith is sucking on & put it in his mouth (ya I know this is unhygienic); pull out Kaith's mittens or hat & ask us to put on him. And everytime he does it, he will be very happy & start laughing away, what a cheeky boy. ;)
Doesn't he look like a pirate to you? hahaha LOL

Plans for the long weekend

This weekend will be the Hari Raya and we'll be off 3 days in a row. I've been thinking of how to utilize these 3 days and here is what I planned to do:

1) Finish watching the TVB drama series - 溏心风暴 (Heart of Greed), I still have 20 episodes to go.
2) Bring the kids to visit our cousin in Kota Kemuning.
3) Go back to see my mum & my siblings with the kids.
4) Tidy up my room, pack the clothes that Kaith & Dillon no longer wearing & pass on to my sister-in-law & friends.
5) Last but not least, SLEEP as much as possible..... (well I think this is the hardest to "achieve") LOL

Well, I'll tell you if I manage to execute all my plans or not after the long weekend, stay tuned. :)

Tidy up the house

I'm staying with my in-laws and ever since I had Dillon and Kaith, there are more kid stuffs in the house and the whole place has become very packed and messy. I'm now planning to clear up the place to make more room for Dillon to play around, and soon Kaith will be in walker so she needs a bigger space to move around as well.

In order to do that, I'll need to have good storage solutions to help me in keeping the stuffs organised and tidy. I wanted to keep away the baby gear like stroller, walker, push car, playpen temporary until Kaith need to use them later.

I also want to have the locking storage cabinet to keep all my hubby's car accessories and tools safely so that my kids won't be able to reach.

Are you insured?

Before the age of 25, I never had any insurance policy, because I do not feel the need at that time & I also don’t want to have a long term commitment. However, after I got married and have children, I suddenly realized the importance to have a comprehensive family insurance plan, not only for my husband & myself, but mainly is to cover the benefits of our children.

But since we have a couple of loans to service at the moment, we have to be careful to plan our budget before committing to any insurance plans. Therefore we would need to get the insurance quote based on our insurance need and affordability so that we don’t over commit and burden ourselves. We can also make comparison of the quotes and find one would fulfill our need with a lower insurance premium.

Looking at the benefits and coverage an insurance plan can offer, we should plan to allocate our budget to get an insurance plan for ourselves and our beloved family.

Mummy's exercise

On last Sunday, after hubby has gone for his badminton session at 6pm, I brought Kaith for a walk nearby our house. Kaith seemed very excited sitting in the stroller.

After we walked for about 20 minutes, I sent her home & asked maid to bath her, then I took Dillon for a walk for another 20 minutes (Since I was not able to bring both of them for a walk together, so they have to take turns loh :p) and after that I was sweating & pretty exhausted already.

Well, I think this is a good way for me to exercise (yes I need to lose some weight) & to have bonding time with the kids at the same time. :D

P/S: I can feel muscle pain on my thigh this morning, ouch!! :P

Kaith is 3 months old already!

Hello everybody, I'm baby Kaith.

Kaith has just turned 3 months old yesterday and we brought her for her routine check up & jab today.

So here is a bit of her latest updates:

1. Has put on another 0.6kg since last month, weighs a healthy 6.1kg now, body length 60cm.
2. Still on breast milk exclusively, taking 4.5oz (no "improvement" on this though) every 3 hours.
3. Has been attempting to roll over but not successful as yet.
4. Hate to be alone. Will cry out loud whenever no one is within her sight. :-(
5. Loves to smile & laughing out loud (just like me!!) LOL

Get paid to blog

Get paid to blog is definitely not something new for the bloggers, even people who doesn’t blog also have heard about it at some stage. I have started my blogs about 5 months ago because I like to write and would like to share stories about my kids especially and I also enjoy reading other people’s blog. Then I came across Smorty when I was blog hopping one day.

Smorty is a service connecting advertisers with bloggers. Advertisers can pay bloggers to write opinion posts with links back to the advertisers. In this way advertisers can get the publicity in various blogs and the bloggers get paid for their opinion, what a truly win-win situation for both, thanks to Smorty for being the middle man & creating the opportunities.

I have recently decided to start writing some paid posts in both of my blogs as I would like to join the crowd and be in the trend of blog advertising, and Smorty is surely the place for me to take my 1st step.

Kaith's new hair cut :)

Hubby said Kaith look like "uncle" in her current hairstyle because her hair didn't grow evenly; the hair is more on both side & the back of the head whereas the center of the head has less hair. Haha LOL.

Therefore on last Saturday, we decided to bring her for her very first hair cut (we didn't shave her on her fullmoon).
Before

After

Hopefully she will have a head full of smooth & silky hair soon :)
