Today is the day I finally stop breastfeeding.
The feeling isn't easy, although I have thought of quiting much earlier in Feb, but I'm still dragging on since to Kaith has not wean off her mid night feed.
But I have decided to put a full stop today and I took the Bromocriptine pill given by doctor to stop my breast milk production. I need to take 2 pills each day for 5 days and the milk would then slowly stopped, well it's the same as how I stop breastfeeding Dillon last time.
I only managed to breastfeed Dillon for 8 months and now Kaith for 9 months, it's not very long but I'm proud that I've at least keep it up for more than half a year. My breastfeeding journey has been pleasant and I've enjoyed it very much, I'll never forget the precious intimate moment I had with my 2 lil' ones....
Dillon at 8 months old then; Kaith at 9 months old now

9 months is really good.. I remember my pre-natal class instructor raised her eye-brows when I told her I would like to try to bf for 6 months... congrats :-)
* a pat on your shoulder *
Being a bfeeding motherself myself, i know the hardwork...anything more than 6 months is consider GOOD
Thanks sting, kk & ws.
I know this is not something really big in the world but in my own little world, it's one of my greatest achievement already :)
Bravo to all other breastfeeding mums out there
Oh...that's so great!!!
I couldnt keep up with breastfeeding after 2 months and now I feel so bad for not being diligent about it!
I salute you!
you have done well...give yourself a pat and a hug from me...
Actually u are do very very very well, Karen...
Now is my turn, i m still bf and have yet go to jumpa my gynae.
Wow!! 9 mths!! I gave my son only for 3 weeks and none for my girl. (Had complication with breastfeeding) I really envied people who can breastfeed for a long time. Good Job!!
well done!!! 9 months is better than me :)
Hi karen! Thanks for dropping by my blog!
I think the fact that you've breastfed for 9 months is amazing. I unfortunately didn't have that experience for very long (didn't have much milk).
i stop mine officially on 6/4...while Eli is 9 months old.
i stop is because i was terrible sick on last Sunday, i forced to have the drips that doctor said i can't bf anymore...actually, i still miss Eli latching on me..that's wonderful feeling!
9 months is indeed an achievement already. Be proud of yourself. Mine dried up at 3rd mth.
Thanks to all for your kind words, I do feel uneasy when I stopped, maybe not used to the change. Hopefully Kaith will adapt to the change soon. :)
Well done. Breastfeeding is not an easy task and you did well.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
I only managed to breastfed my babies for 6 mths...you are wonderful. *clap* *clap*
I can totally identify with you... it's kinda sad to stop is isn't it? I felt terrible..I didn't want to give up..and it took me a long time to finally do it.. I miss breastfeeding my boy...
