I'm 38 weeks pregnant as of today, but why am I so pissed?
My maid is off today, which means I have to take care of Dillon one full day. This is not a challenge at all, if I'm not so heavily preggy now. But thinking that my maid would not have any rest days in the coming 2 months after baby is born, I just let her go. - well, I'm not pissed by this incident.
After I feed & bath Dillon in the morning around 10am, I am surprise to see hubby has got up (normally he will only get up after 1pm) & ask me to go for breakfast. So I ask him why is he up so early and apparently he has got plan - his own plan with his friends.
Me: "Where are you going?"
Hubby: "I'm going to watch GT championship event." (happily....)
Me: "What? You mean Sepang Circuit?"
Hubby: " Ya right, my friend got some free Grand Stand tickets & ask me to go with him."
Me: " Why can't you reject him?"
Hubby: " Why should I? I'm free today." (giving me a strange look)
Me: "Don't you know maid is off today & left only me & Dillon at home? Don't you know I'm close to my EDD and you are going to Sepang? Maybe I should drive myself & Dillon to hospital if there is an emergency?"
Hubby: " Why are you being so sarcastic? I didn't plan for this, it's a surprise for me, & I don't think it's so coincident that you will deliver today"
Me: "................" (I'm speechless & really hopeless to talk further with him)
So tell me, should I be pissed?

aww...u poor thing.....
once i bitc*hed about husband to a friend of mine, and she said; "that's why more women go to heaven than men".
hehe..thought it was funny and wanted to share it with you.
hang in there!
Hi K--I think you have to explain to hubby the situation. Maybe being annoyed just gets in the way?
Then you have to deal with the being annoyed AND you still have to deal with getting some help from him!
For me, I'd rather bypass one step (laugh)!
Hi babyboon, I'm ok already, only this morning was in real bad mood....
Hi Frank, glad to hear your point of view. I was still angry at him when he came back & I ignored him. But you are right that I still have to deal with it in the end, coz we can't be not in talking terms forever.
I talked to him again on the situation & he promised that he will do his part.
Hi mummy yiau, Hope u r cool down now.. not good for the baby.
Well, actually ur hb should inform u early, so u can have some arrangement with the maid... I dislike late minute notice too ..
Anyway.. take care.
man is like that, my hub also the same.. when he have his own plan, he will treat us so good suddenly...
I can understand how u feel...
so poor thing, got to take care of Dillon & preggie somemore.
WHY man all like tat huh *angry*
you have the very right to be pissed for his inconsideration but it was also your hormones talking. just think of it this way, once the baby is here he will not have time for any sepang trip. :P
aiyo - if my hubby do that ah - I think I'll be real pissed too. I remember the first pregnancy and when he had to work late, I kept making sure that at least my parents were home (they stay near me) to standby incase anything happens.
same as my man sometimes...
cool down!!
Thanks for everyones' comments, I'm ok already.
Actually I can tolerate, & won't stop him from going, if he were to discuss with me, to show that he cares of my feeling.
I'm pissed that he just decided to go & only tell me when he is about to leave, sometimes he just act like he is still a bachelor.
oh gosh, i think your man is just being a MAN lor, insensitive and selfish most of the time. haiz!
Cool down, don't trigger labour hor!
Last year during this GT round, I also got piss, my hubby left me and Terry celebrate baby's full month at my church, as he promised to join before he got invitation. End up free GT, he go for it. He said without him also can celebrate...what a dad!
If you really in emergency and no one with you, can call ambulance.
I know how u feel Karen. Cool down and hang in there.
I think ur "fire" over already...;)
another car freak daddy. i've been thru those. i totally understand you. anyway, where are you goin to deliver lil cutie?
Hi Jan, trigger labour also nvm loh, almost EDD liao... :)
Eh Judy, see I told you your hubby & mine could be from the same school, did the same thing keh? :P
Ya Annie, fire over already, no point to keep myslef in bad mood.
Shern's mom, I'll be delivering at HUKM, same as my 1st, hope to get the same good experience.
hi, this is my first time dropping by. Ha! I guess I have a man something like yours too. However, this only happen once in while, right? So, ok lah. Get mad.... Then, the next day, forget about it, then, start darling... darling again loh. hehe :)
Hi healy, thx for dropping by, hope to see you more often. :)
You are right la, in fact later that night also start darling darling already, cooked for him somemore leh. haih... :P
Guys are like that. I remember when I was in my 39th week with Rowena, My hubby still went out with the boys and I was fuming mad
Man ah, sometimes very mm tong hei one.
Hi Karen, a hug to you. Pls don't be upset or angry with your hubby anymore. I'm sure he didn't mean it. Well, most men do not really do things to irritate their wives, and if they do, mostly it's harmless. I know it's tough but maybe talking to him in a more calm tone is better. Who knows he will just say "Ok, i better not go and accompany you instead"..
My husband sometimes also do things unintentionally. I also thought the other way. After I cooled down, I see a different view (smile).
