Pathetic....

I was at HUKM this morning to do the MGTT test and a small incident happened when I went to the toilet. I saw this old lady (A) in the cubicle for disabled people & another old lady with a tongkat (B) was waiting to use the cubicle (door was opened).

They were both talking while I was waiting in line at other cubicles:

B: Can you come out on your own?
A: I've been trying to get up & wear my pants.
B: What is wrong with you?
A: I lost one of my legs so it's bit hard for me.
B: IC.... that is really inconvenient for you, maybe I can help?

Then this old lady wanted to go into the cubicle to help but she also has difficulties to walk and eventually dropped her tongkat as well.

There are several people who saw this scene but none is helping so without thinking for long, I decided to lend my hands, it's not easy as the old lady is quite big size & with my big tummy, I can barely squeeze into the cubicle. Anyway, I manage to help this poor lady to pull up her pants, help her to sit back in the wheel chair & then push her out; when I reached the toilet exit, no one is helping to open & hold the door either, they are just looking at a pregnant woman holding the door with one hand & pushing the wheel chair with another.......... The old lady's son was waiting right outside the toilet to fetch her & he thank me for helping.

I don't know what was wrong with the other people in the toilet at the time, they are all young ladies & none is pregnant. They noticed there is someone needed help, but they choose to be onlooker. Imagine the scenario where a pregnant woman & an old lady are trying to help a disabled old lady, while the rest just watching, how pathetic hor?

Very disappointing... There are many of these people around.... Last year my mom had a fall and no one came forward to help and she was with my girl.

ughhhh so frustrating! a couple of months ago i was blogging about inconsiderate people (specifically inconsiderate malaysians). things like this is seriously sad and i don't know why people cant be humane enough to help out. it's not as if it's a difficult thing to offer kindness. i simply don't get it..

sad but true... an ex colleague told me what she saw at the toilet:

a young girl (perhaps about 10) was obviously very much in need to use the toilet (shifting left n right u know wat i mean...) but no one let her go first n she dare not ask also. she finally peed still standing in line. colleague was behind her.

you did a good thing there...and if I were you, I would have given everyone staring a piece of my mind and remind them how embarassing they are to the society...

You did it despite your preggie condition. Well done to you and shame on those onlookers.

I agreed with you, promote Budi Bahasa, still a long way still to be a helping and friendly nation.
